Classical applications for smart cities are found in environmental sciences. A usual application for the CLIME project-team is air quality (nitrogen dioxide, ozone, particulate matter), but there can be contributions to other applications like climate change (carbon emissions). In particular, a project on CO2 mapping involving collaborations between the CLIME team and Ron Cohen at UC Berkeley-CITRIS is under definition.
